I really, really want to be passing through your town and see this cafe and think, "Hmm. I think I'll see what's up with this. Wonder if it's any good?"

And then find out that yes, it is.

And I AM resting. I just saw my md today and he wrote me a scrip for water therapy for my pain. So, I am going to be one of those old broads who sit with their young physical therapist named Jason (yes, he's ALL mine) who guides them through exercises in warm water while they weave and bob, their old lady legs pruning in the water....

Yeah, I be sexy.

Stop by anytime. I'm glad you're resting and not pushing too hard, I do that and it always backfires.
You don't wear one of those frilly swim caps, do ya? Those are HOT.
I hope you're feeling much better very soon.

What is that bacon wrapped thingy with the little sprig of green poking out of the top?

And can you send me one? (or twelve?)

One dozen bacon wrapped scallops in beurre blanc with (in hindsight) a too-tall garnish of daikon radish greens, coming right up.

I thought it might be a scallop, but then I thought, naa...that's too big to be a scallop.

Of course, without my glasses on, it looked like it had a tree growing out of it and that kind of fucked the scale.

I'm going to visit my aunt in South Florida next month and we always go to this place that has amazing scallops (and seafood in general). If you're ever in Jupiter, Florida, you must try the Food Shack.

Yeah...that garnish does look the the tree from the end of Go, Dog. Go!...any place with a name like the Food Shack sounds good to me. Somehow within the last year though I have developed an apparent allergy to shell fish...sucks.

You know what, T? You're right, that's not a scallop, too big and not shaped right on top...I can't remember what that was, it was a dinner I helped the blur in the background with...I'll check and get back to you on that one...weird that I remembered what the garnish was.
