Strange, but I'm actually feeling like I'm in the mood for Christmas this year. Though I was a bit pissed to see the Christmas section take over Lawn & Garden at Hell-Mart before poor Halloween had even had its day, I now feel like I might enjoy this one. I wish I'd gotten started on shopping earlier, it's always my plan to get it done throughout the year, but it never, ever happens that way. I currently have one gift purchased, but I think most everyone is getting nice food baskets this year, so that kind of takes the stress out of it, just need to shop for the kids and a couple of things for my parents.
I even threw some lights over a young tree next to my porch the other night...what's gotten into me?

I'm similar. We were at the gym last night and a Christmas tree was up. I told Bing that I think that there should be a law: NO Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. But, no one listens to me....Nope.

I'm sort of feeling it too, though. And I dread the holidays. All that forced cheer.

BTW....I would really, really like a movie gift card for Christmas. There are about ten million movies that I want to see. I think you should move to the prairie. Move the cafe, the whole caboodle. We could be movie buddies. Not many acting opportunities, though. There's that....you could be the star of a lot of local productions....

Maria, I am so ready to move anyplace but here! I know it wouldn't change anything, I really feel like the days of moving away to start a new life and reinventing oneself are dwindling.

John, that picture is great. I feel the same as you, I don't really go in for the church (or religion, for that matter) but I do sometimes enjoy just sitting in one.
I will sometimes go in just to light a candle and sit and think. I don't pray, but the act and surroundings bring a bit of peace.
