Ugh. The snow is so piled up in my back yard that I can't see my bird bath. I don't think I have ever pined so badly for Spring before in my life...
I'm sure I have, but I really can't remember when.My car slid out of my drive into the yard the other day and was stuck for two days. The cafe roof is leaking in four spots this time around. I shoveled snow off of the roof for two days and then pushed the melt off, hopefully I can get some sealant up there today, it's supposed to snow again tomorrow.
We got four inches here and the locals all flipped their shit. One of my coworkers is married to a Baltimore Sun reporter, and he was called into work to write a story about it. I said, "Uh...is there a story about it?""Well yes," he said, "we got eight times the amount of snow predicted." "Yes, but eight times almost nothing still equals not that much."He just stared at me blankly. If I had written the story, it would have been... Baltimorons are not made of particularly hearty stock. And also, they suck at math.
Baltimorons, I love that. We call the tourists here 'tourons' sometimes. It's been sunny and really nice here the last couple of days Of course, that just means that now there is a lot of mud.
